Kyonna Stevens joined Poly Prep as a Lower School Associate Kindergarten teacher in 2021. Before coming to Poly, she was a Group Teacher for toddlers in 2018 and an Education Specialist for the United Federation of Teachers’s Family Childcare Network. Kyonna is from Dyckman, which is in the Washington Heights area, and moved to East Harlem in 2012. She received her B.S from Daemen College where she studied Liberal Arts with a concentration in Early Childhood and Special Education. After working at summer camps and after-school programs, Kyonna decided to pursue her dream of becoming a teacher. When not teaching, Kyonna enjoys traveling the world and trying new foods.
